Housing is the topic for the next meeting of FEARLESS, which meets at 7 p.m. Central time on Monday, May 17, on Zoom.

Our guest will be John Turner from the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority (NIFA) and we will discuss housing, a big concern for people on the registry.

The NIFA mission statement is:

Provide Nebraskans a broad range of financial resources for homeownership, rental housing, agriculture, manufacturing, medical and community development endeavors. NIFA also provides technical assistance for activities related to these areas, while preserving and growing the asset base used to provide these resources.

You can visit the NIFA website for more information. You will see that NIFA offers information about emergency rental assistance related to COVID.

If you wish to attend May’s FEARLESS online, send an email to nunafrd@gmail.com with your full name and a physical mailing address that we can verify.

When we have verified your information, we will send you the sign-in credentials you will need to attend the meeting. We apologize but this process is necessary for the safety and security of individuals who attend FEARLESS.

The in-person downtown-Omaha FEARLESS meeting will resume on Saturday, June 12. Watch this blog for information on the downtown meeting location.
