A new website, featuring the work of some of the top scholars in the field, will provide the latest research on sex offense policy. The website is for the Sex Offense Policy Research working group, which held its second annual meeting in Boston this summer. Dr. Lisa Sample is the president, and a founding member, of the group.

THE SEXUAL OFFENSE POLICY RESEARCH (SOPR) WORKING GROUP IS A COMMUNITY OF SCHOLARS ENGAGED IN POLICY-FOCUSED RESEARCH IN THE AREA OF SEXUAL OFFENDING AND VICTIMIZATION. WE ARE DEDICATED TO BUILDING A SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY FOR BOTH ESTABLISHED AND EMERGING SCHOLARS IN THE FIELD, FORGING CONSTRUCTIVE PARTNERSHIPS WITH POLICYMAKERS AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE AGENCIES, AND ADVANCING EMPIRICAL KNOWLEDGE TO INFORM THE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF EVIDENCE-INFORMED PUBLIC POLICIES.
